很快，巫师猎人一伙人从四面八方赶来，围住两人。

无论丹尼尔怎么阻拦，最后麦尔斯还是带走了归零，丹尼尔也没能逃过。
西大陆的人对于神有着崇高的信仰，他们相信神明创世，来到这个世界的人都是罪人，只有经过反省自身和做好事才能赎罪。他们也相信地狱的存在，坏人死后会被神分配到地狱经历残忍酷刑。
他们认为魔鬼会蛊惑人心，诱导人做坏事，给人类带来不可估量的灾难，所以他们抵制有关魔鬼的一切。
夜幕降临，处刑台四方燃起篝火，归零被剥光衣服吊在十字架上。火光照亮了人们的脸，那是一张张冷漠的面孔。
他们围观，他们漠视，他们嘲笑，他们愤怒……
他们就像是曾经的那群村民。
